Creating Effective Web Content

Communication is key. Making your web content as effective as possible will help to clearly establish your message and information. Follow these four tips to help create more engaging content:

  • Use bullet points. They're easy to read and draws readers in. Include a bolded subheading at the beginning to introduce the topic and to catch your audience's attention.
  • Good sentence spacing. Don’t have your sentences too close together. It’s harder to read. But don’t have too much spacing in between either. 1.5-2 spacing is enough.
  • Include pictures. Images help express your point and capture your reader’s attention. Infographics are also a great tool- they exemplify your point and tell a story.
  • Break your content into segments. Use subheadings and/or pages so avoid having too much continuous content. Having too much content might prompt your reader to skim over your message and they could miss important information
